We recommend the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS). Flights to and from this airport seem to be pretty affordable, and it is close to Sarah's family. It is about a 20-25 minute drive from the airport to the wedding venue.

This depends on what you plan to do on your trip... If you want to be close to the wedding venue, you should stay on Okaloosa Island. If you want to be close to family, Niceville is where you will want to be. If you want to have a more upscale vacation, check out Destin. We've put a few options on the Travel & Accommodations page that are close to the wedding venue and close to family... but there are lots of hotels, Air B&B's, and VRBO's in the area. So, feel free to do your own search to find what fits your style and budget.

The venue is an outdoor space built from shipping containers on the water, and the decor will be kind of rustic and cozy (almost a backyard) feel. The colors will be "dusty blue", cream, navy blue and tan. Overall, we are more excited to see you than what you are wearing. So, just dress so that you look good and feel good. Full suits are not necessary, unless that's just how you like to roll!

At that time of year, the weather should be comfortable but it could be either chilly (50's-60's) or warm (70's-80's). So, we recommend having layers so you can adjust to your comfort.

No. With all of our family and friends travelling so far to celebrate with us, we thought it would be more enjoyable to stay in the area to spend more time with you. We will likely stay in the Niceville area through Thanksgiving. So, if you are interested in extending your trip through the holiday, we will be around to hang out with you! We plan to do a honeymoon for our first anniversary instead. That will allow us to fully enjoy the wedding and the honeymoon without feeling rushed.
